REGISTRATION: On-site registration will be accepted from 9:30 am – 10:45 am (15 min prior to start.)
RULES: Any bicycle may be used. There are no citizen categories, only age categories. No field minimums. Officials may add or combine categories and adjust race distance as necessary. Officials will designate appropriate categories. All bicycles must have two working brakes except fixed gear bicycles, which shall have one (1) working brake. Officials will inspect all bicycles on site & reserve right to decline entry. $5 fee for additional race after entry into first race. Additional race entries granted if time allows & at discretion of race director.
EQUIPMENT: All participants MUST have their own helmet in order to compete. The helmet must be clearly labeled by its manufacturer that it meets the ANSI Standard Z90-4 and/or the Snell Memorial Foundation Standards for Bicycle Racing. Time trial helmets are permitted.
COURSE: The time trial will begin at the Midway College entrance with a hand-held start & will continue left on East Stephens Street for 2.5 miles to a turnaround at the intersection of Paynes Depot Road & the beginning of Weisenberger Mill Road. The course is an out & back with a halfway turnaround point. Marshals will assist at the turnaround. The course is hilly & very rolling. The course will not be closed. Local law enforcement will assist.
AWARDS: Top 3 Kentucky Riders (M/F) in each category will receive Bluegrass State Games medals.
AGE: Age as of December 31, 2010.
DIRECTIONS: Exit Interstate 64 at Midway exit 65 (KY 341) & follow signs to Midway College in downtown Midway, Kentucky. Plenty of free parking available.
