IMPORTANT:

• Participants may enter a maximum of three events (1) Age Group (2) Open Singles (3) Doubles.
• All matches (except the Open Singles Final) will be best of five matches and to 11 points.
• Players may not play in more than one doubles event. Please select one only: Open Doubles, Age 45 and Up Doubles, or Recreational Doubles (Combined Rating Under 2000 USATT or Committee decision).
• Participants entering Doubles must submit the partner’s entry form in one envelope to assure being properly partnered. Players without partners will be matched per tourney committee discretion.
• USATT rules apply. Sandpaper paddles NOT allowed.
• Dark clothing and gym shoes required. Solid white t-shirts will not be allowed.
• All USATT rated players must place their latest rating or estimate on the entry form.
• Please be available to the Control Desk 20 minutes prior to the listed start times of the events
• Participants will be defaulted if not available to the Control Desk within 7 minutes after being called for a match (unless prior arrangements have been made with the Control Desk). If you are withdrawing from a tournament, PLEASE let us know ASAP.
• Events will not start earlier than scheduled; however, some events may start later than scheduled. Please limit pre-match warm-ups to two minutes and return match results promptly to the Control Desk. In case of large numbers, warm-ups may be cut to one minute.
• In the case of a no show, tournament committee reserves the right to alter the draw to achieve a competitive balance
• A minimum of three entries will be needed for competition to be held in any event. Events that do not have 3 entries will be combined with the next higher age group within that division unless it is the highest age group, in which case it will be combined downward.
• Food, drinks, and snacks will be available at the Morgan County Wellness Center all day!
• Continued arguing with the Umpire, Referee, or Tournament Director after a decision has been made as official will be grounds for disqualification from the event. A verbal warning will be issued first, but continued disruption and argumentation over a call will not be tolerated. If you have an issue, ask the Tournament Director for a referee or umpire, their decision will be final on any play-related issue or dispute.
• Tennis Shoes Only!
• Electric Devices MUST be silenced during the tournament. This can cause unnecessary disruption or faults. Treat cell phones like you are in a movie theatre.
• Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult (not the tournament committee, Wellness Center Staff, etc. Children may not be running around the playing area or near the playing area-this is a safety matter and also to prevent disruption of game play.
• Do NOT argue with another player over a call. If the situation cannot be rectified between the two players (hopefully it can), please see the Tournament Director or Referee immediately. Example: someone incorrectly calling the game score.
• Please register early! It helps with planning, scheduling, and preparation.
• For the event to reach its maximum potential, we would appreciate it if every player would contact other players and invite them. It makes the event more fun and exciting for everyone when we have a huge turnout!

FORMAT:

Singles: Round robin groups of three, four or five with the top two finishers of each round robin advancing to a single elimination bracket. However, events with 5 players or less will play one round robin group only with the top three finishers being medalists. Tournament committee reserves the right to modify the format depending on the number of entries received.

Open Singles Final will be Best of 7 games.
